A fire that killed a 64-year-old man in Pueblo appears to be smoking-related, officials said Wednesday afternoon.
Pueblo firefighters were called out to 2512 High St. at about 7:35 a.m. on a report of visible flames at the single family home, said Woody Percival, a fire department spokesman.
Firefighters were at the address in four minutes and found the home engulfed in smoke, Percival said.
Inside the firefighters discovered the body of the man, who was a known smoker, said Percival.
An investigation showed that the area of origin was a couch in the living room, Percival said. He said there was an oxygen generator in the room with a tube running from the generator to the couch.
Police and fire officials are currently withholding the name of the victim.
