Colorado’s congressional delegation criticized the Transportation Security Administration on Wednesday for saddling Denver International Airport passengers with “routine waits of 35 to 55 minutes” at security checkpoints in recent weeks.

“We continue to see security lanes unstaffed during peak periods,” the nine lawmakers said in a letter to TSA Administrator Kip Hawley.

The TSA website shows DIA waits in the past month averaged 21 minutes on Mondays around 8 a.m. and 17 minutes on Sundays around 5 p.m.

Travelers can see wait-time histories for 11 Colorado airports at by clicking “Security Checkpoint Wait Times” on the home page.
