A driver behind the wheel of a pickup truck that crashed early Wednesday, killing a female passenger, has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide.
Randell Elce Springer, 29, of Lakewood is being held at the Aurora Detention Center, Aurora police said.
At about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, Springer was driving a 1998 Mazda pickup truck on Interstate 70 near Interstate 225 when he lost control and slammed into a Jersey barrier, police said.
Police did not release the name of the victim.
Investigators suspect that alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
