COLORADO SPRINGS — Air Force’s Chad Hall was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

San Diego State linebacker Luke Laolagi and TCU safety Stephen Hodge shared the defensive award, while Air Force kicker Ryan Harrison and San Diego State punter Michael Hughes were the co-special teams players.

Hall, who is listed as a wide receiver on the depth chart but lines up all over the field, set a school record with 275 yards rushing on 34 carries and a touchdown Saturday in Air Force’s 30-10 win over Army.

The senior also set a school record with 333 all-purpose yards, passing Ernie Jennings, who had 315 yards in a game in 1968.

Laolagi had a career-best 10 tackles, including four for a loss and a sack, in San Diego State’s 27-24 comeback victory against Wyoming on Saturday night.

Hodge, starting his first game, had a team-best seven tackles, including one sack, broke up three passes and forced a fumble that a teammate returned 13 yards for a touchdown in TCU’s 37-0 rout of New Mexico on Saturday.

Harrison hit a career-high three field goals — from 35, 40 and 56 yards — and averaged 42 yards on two punts in Air Force’s win.

Hughes punted 10 times in San Diego State’s victory, averaging 48.1 yards. The senior had a season-best 75-yard punt that ranks as the fifth-longest in school history.
