LONGMONT, Colo.—A driver was stabbed in an attempted carjacking and two suspects were arrested after an hours-long standoff at a home on Monday, police said.
The victim was reported to be stable at a Longmont hospital. Neither his name nor specifics about his injuries were released.
Two schools in the area were closed for the day as a precaution.
Police Cmdr. Craig Earhart said a fight erupted late Sunday or early Monday as a group of men was driving to Longmont after leaving a Boulder strip club. Earhart said the driver was stabbed when some in the group tried to commandeer the vehicle.
Police later surrounded a house, although it wasn’t immediately clear what led them there.
Scott Lorman, 23, was arrested at the house at 6 a.m. and Carlos Cordova, 22, was arrested there at about 9:30 a.m., Earhart said. Lorman lives at the house with his mother, police said.
A third person was being sought for questioning, Earhart said.
