Tonight-Saturday. Little kids don’t have much of a filter between their brains and their mouths. It’s fun to just sit back and listen to the whimsical tales they come up with – tales few adults could concoct on their own. In this weekend’s play, “Dreams,” a collection of kids stories and poems comes to life thanks to the grown-ups at Imagination Makers Theater Company. A diverse group of children contributed their writings to create the musical play. Their ideas range from vending machines for homeless people to a goofy poem about turning everything into chocolate. 7:30 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut St., Boulder; 303-440-7826. Tickets are $5. Call 303-444-7328 for advance tickets.

Sunday. Ever see one of those Colorado Native bumper stickers? If you’ve left the house in the past 10 years, you probably have. With an influx of residents from all over the world, the Colorado born-and- bred are extremely proud of their heritage. Musician and author Jon Chandler has even made a career out of his Colorado roots. The seventh-generation native presents “Colorado Stories and Songs” at the Aurora History Museum on Sunday for Coloradans of all ages – whether they were born here or not. 2 p.m. Sunday. Aurora History Museum, 15051 E. Alameda Parkway; 303-739-6660. Registration is required; call 303-326-8650 to sign up. Tickets are $4 for Aurora residents, $5 for nonresidents.

Sunday. Twins of Denver, unite: The starting gun for the TTTS Race for Hope sounds at Washington Park on Sunday. TTTS, twin-to- twin transfusion syndrome, is a serious prenatal disorder that affects blood flow to fetuses – if untreated, it’s most often fatal. That’s why the Fetal Hope Foundation encourages twins and other multiples to join the yearly Run for Hope to benefit research and education for TTTS and other fetal syndromes. Wannabe twins can run the 5K as a team, and single racers are welcome too. A Kids Fun Run and post-race festival provide good times for racers and spectators alike. Washington Park, 1700 E. Louisiana Ave. 5K Run/Walk registration is from 9 to 9:45 a.m.; the race begins at 10 a.m. The Kids Fun Run starts at 9:55 a.m. 5K registration is $30 for folks age 13 and older, $20 for twins and multiples, $20 for kids and $60 for teams. The Kids Fun Run is free. For more information visit .

Wednesday. A few weeks ago a dusting of snow was enough for Denver skiers and snowboarders to start eagerly digging out goggles and fiddling with bindings. Anticipation increased with the recent openings of a few hills, but it’s Warren Miller Entertainment’s latest film, “Playground,” that will really get the snow junkies jonesing. Like Warren Miller’s other snow-sports extravaganzas, it’s filled with shocking stunts, gnarly wrecks and, of course, tons of deep powder. The movie features athletes such as Gretchen Bleiler and Chris Davenport carving slopes from Alaska to Dubai. Wednesday is “Playground’s” Denver debut; the show runs at the Paramount Theatre through Nov. 18. 8 p.m. Wednesday. Paramount Theatre, 1621 Glenarm Place; 303-623-0106. Tickets are $23 and are available at . or at the Paramount box office.
