Frontier Airlines announced it is discontinuing some of flights and adding capacity on a number of routes from its Denver hub.
Frontier will terminate its flights from Denver to Guadalajara, Mexico, on Jan. 14. The Denver-based carrier also is reducing other Mexico service, discontinuing its San Jose, Calif., and Sacramento flights to Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta in January.
Frontier had started a small operation out of Memphis, Tenn., in May, with flights from Memphis to Denver, Las Vegas and Orlando, Fla., and this month is adding Memphis-Fort Lauderdale flights. But most of that will come to an end in January, when Frontier will discontinue the Memphis-Las Vegas, Memphis-Orlando and Memphis-Ft. Lauderdale flights.
Other Frontier flights are being downgraded to less-frequent service or seasonal service, including Denver to Vancouver, Canada; Denver to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mexico; Denver to Mazatlan, Mexico; Indianapolis to Cancún, Mexico; Nashville, Tenn., to Cancún; and St. Louis, Mo., to Cancún.
Starting Jan. 18, Frontier is adding more flights on routes from Denver to Atlanta; Billings, Mont.; Indianapolis; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Louisville, Ky.; Minneapolis; Oklahoma City; Orlando; Phoenix; Portland, Ore; Rapid City, S.D.; San Diego; Seattle; Spokane, Wash.; St. Louis; and Tucson.
