GEORGETOWN, Colo.—A wildfire along Interstate 70 near Georgetown was contained Friday.

The fire, which started Wednesday, scorched about 22 acres, Clear Creek County sheriff’s officials said.

The cause was first reported to be an electrical transformer, but Xcel Energy spokesman Tom Henley says none of the company’s equipment has malfunctioned.

Crews were to be at the scene Saturday mopping up hot spots.

No buildings were threatened and no injuries have been reported.
