PUEBLO, Colo.—A bill awaiting President Bush’s signature includes $142 million to continue the destruction of lethal mustard-gas weapons at the Pueblo Chemical Depot.

It’s not clear when the president will decide on signing the Defense Appropriations Act.

The bill orders the Pentagon to complete the destruction of the chemical weapons at Pueblo and other facilities around the country by 2017.

The Pueblo depot stores more than 2,600 tons of mustard agent in projectiles and cartridges.

The bill also includes $3.2 million to upgrade computer networks at the Cheyenne Mountain command center for U.S. Northern Command in Colorado Springs.
