ST. PAUL, Minn.—The Minnesota Wild left town with one of their two injured stars.

Marian Gaborik traveled with the team Saturday to Colorado, where the Wild will play the Avalanche on Sunday. They have three more road games against Northwest Division opponents next week.

Pavol Demitra, however, did not go on the trip. Both he and Gaborik—the two wings on Minnesota’s top line—have been bothered by strained groin muscles for the past two weeks. Demitra has missed five of the last seven games, and Gaborik has missed three of the last five.

A decision on whether Gaborik will play Sunday will not be made until before the game. Also, forward Stephane Veilleux took a puck to his cheekbone and was sent to a hospital Saturday for examination. He’s unlikely to play Sunday.
