LOS ANGELES — Cable-television companies including Comcast Corp. are fighting a plan by the Federal Communications Commission to claim new regulatory powers.

The National Cable and Telecommunications Association said Monday it disputes a pending FCC report finding the cable industry controls a big enough share of the market to warrant more oversight. The FCC is considering adopting the report in a Nov. 27 vote, a person with knowledge of the matter said.
