SAN FRANCISCO — Comcast was sued by a California subscriber who accused the company of impeding the use of certain Web applications, including file-sharing.
Jon Hart, who seeks class-action status for the suit, asked a state court Tuesday to award monetary damages to Comcast subscribers to compensate them for the impediments to their Internet service. These include the sending of “hidden” messages to customer computers to slow applications, according to the complaint.
Spokeswoman Jennifer Khoury said Comcast couldn’t comment on the suit because it hasn’t been served with the complaint.
