DENVER—Tyler Ruegsegger had two goals and one assist, and Peter Mannino made 28 saves as Denver shut out Minnesota State, Mankato, 7-0 Saturday night.
It was the 11th career shutout for Mannino and the fourth straight win for Denver (8-2-0, 5-1-0 WCHA).
Ruegsegger’s first goal came when he caught a pass from Brock Trotter at the Minnesota State blue line and put the puck between a defender’s legs before faking to his backhand and putting a forehand shot into the goal for a 3-0 lead.
His second goal on a power play pushed the lead to 4-0.
Dan Tormey made 29 saves for the Mavericks (3-6-1, 1-6-1 WCHA).
Denver defeated the Mavericks 2-1 Friday.
