AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—A panel of officers has acquitted a senior Air Force Academy cadet of raping a fellow cadet.
Academy spokesman Ward Meade said Sunday that Edward Salazar was acquitted Friday night.
He also was acquitted of indecent assault after he and the alleged victim attended an off-base party last year where alcohol was consumed.
Underage cadets caught drinking have been severely punished, including expulsion. A news release made no mention of the alcohol.
