A man considered “armed and dangerous” by authorities was arrested Saturday in Fort Collins outside the Foothills Fashion Mall without incident.

Shane Lee Warehime, 25, faces possible charges of burglary, felony eluding and theft, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities had been looking for Warehime since early Wednesday morning. Warehime is suspected of stealing a pickup truck and leading sheriff’s deputies and Loveland police officers on a high speed chase. Weld County Sheriff’s deputies and troopers with the Colorado State Patrol also pursued the stolen truck, a Ford Ranger, authorities suspect was driven by Warehime.

But when the truck was found, at about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday in the 10500 block of East Highway 14, in Weld County, it was empty. Pursuing officers searched the area but couldn’t find the driver of the stolen truck.

Authorities watched Warehime’s friends who lead them to the suspect on Saturday, the sheriff’s office said.
