Considering that the trade deadline has expired in most leagues, those managers looking forward to the playoffs are usually stockpiling iffy players like obese squirrels right now.
Those of you completely out of the playoff picture, well, the seventh season – that’s six, count ’em, six discs – of the Gilmore Girls was just released. Enjoy.
Players such as Chester Taylor (Vikings), Priest Holmes (Chiefs), Selvin Young (Broncos), Brandon Marshall (Broncos) and Chris Henry (Bengals) all share some interesting qualities. They are tempting to keep and have shown they can score big fantasy points, but all could fade into obscurity in the next few weeks if the health (or potential suspension) of a bigger-name teammate changes.
Conventional wisdom suggests having more depth in running backs down the stretch. They are more prone to wear-and-tear injuries about now and as the weather moves into winter, the ground game remains a sure bet.
Who will be that late-season star? Good luck. Who is dating who in Stars Hollow? You’ll know soon, you Gilmore Girl fanatic.
