Nuggets guard Allen Iverson was named Western Conference player of the week, averaging an NBA-best 26.7 points, including 37 in a win against Cleveland. The Nuggets won all three games last week, and are on a five-game winning streak, entering Tuesday’s 7 p.m. game against Chicago at Pepsi Center.

At practice today, Iverson suffered a mild hamstring strain, but coach George Karl indicated the Iverson should play against the Bulls, same for forward Kenyon Martin, who injured his lower back in Saturday’s win against New York.
