BEAVER CREEK, Colo.—Another Colorado ski resort is pushing back its opening day because of dry, warm weather.

Beaver Creek Resort says it will move its opening day from Wednesday to Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

Chief Operating Officer John Garnsey says the National Weather Service forecast for a significant change in the weather will mean both natural snowfall, and temperatures that are cold enough for the resort to make snow.

Garnsey says he expects the resort to be able to finish snowmaking at the base of the mountain and for Beaver Creek to be open for Friday and the holiday weekend.

Last week, Vail Resorts said it would push back the opening of Vail Mountain by five days, to November 21st.

Steamboat Springs announced it would open on November 30th.
