The Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League re-signed three key members of its offense — including all-star Gavin Prout — and added two players to its preseason roster, the team said.
The Mammoth agreed to terms with Prout, whose 89 points on 30 goals and 59 assists ranked fourth in the NLL last season. The Mammoth captain made his fifth NLL All-Star Game appearance last season.
The team also re-signed Dan Carey, who led the Mammoth with 32 goals last season, to a three-year deal; and Jamie Shewchuk, the rookie leader last season with 26 assists, to a two-year contract.
Former University of Denver standout Ryan Zordani, a forward, and defenseman Bruce Murray, a six-year NLL veteran, also were signed.

Thomas played for the Jayhawks from 1994-98 and had stints with the New Jersey Nets in 2005 and the Washington Wizards in 2006.
Gill, the first pick in the 2007 NBADL draft, was signed by the Nets earlier this season.
