The snow that blanketed the Front Range this morning is just winding down but forecasters say the coldest temperatures so far for the season will stick around for a few more days.
A snow advisory for portions of the metro area and north central Colorado has expired, and no additional accumulations of snow are expected, according to Byron Louis with the National Weather Service.
Denver’s high will hover around 30, Louis said, and tonight will plunge to 13 degrees.
Chain laws are in effect for all commercial vehicles in the high country.
Byron said this will be a cold Thanksgiving, partly sunny with a ten percent chance of snow and highs in the upper 20s. He predicts light winds in the morning, between 10 and 15 MPH.
A slight chance of snow will continue on and off through Thursday and Friday, but the weekend will be drier. Temperatures will remain below normal until Sunday.
