Colorado Springs police are seeking a suspect who they say severely beat a man early Sunday.
An arrest warrant was issued today for Elias Cordova, 25, on charges of attempted first-degree murder. His whereabouts are unknown.
Police say Cordova and Geraldo Contreras Tovar got into a fight early Sunday with several people at Cantina Studio 719, located at 923 N. Murray Blvd.
The fight continued in the bar’s parking lot.
When officers arrived, they found Tovar on the ground unconscious. He had been hit in the head.
Tovar has been in critical condition ever since.
Police say other participants in the fight may be identified and that additional arrests are possible.
