Tis the season, shop till you drop

The Junior League of Denver’s annual Holiday Mart starts today and runs through Sunday. The event spotlights about 150 retailers and artisans from around the country and boasts an assortment of distinctive gifts and decorating ideas. Vendors also include local, independent boutiques like Solange d’art Jewelry, which features largely handmade copper, brass and gemstone baubles. The Holiday Mart is at the Denver Merchandise Mart, 451 E. 58th Avenue. Details at or call 303-292-6278.

Santa, Baby?

The same generous St. Nick who doles out “a duplex and checks” like the one in fashionistas’ favorite holiday tune — “Santa, Baby” — might check out one of the luxury mountain properties listed by Hall and Hall Brokers. Among them is Round Mountain Ranch in Steamboat Springs. This $18.5 million, 1,088-acre estate in the Elk River Valley would jumpstart any family Christmas as it includes a working ranch, excellent fishing spots, a 5,126- square-foot residence, a restored river cabin, guest accommodations, barns and a state-of-the-art indoor arena.
