Gusty northwest winds should dry out things out in the Denver area this afternoon, but it could also cause blowing snow problems for drivers and pedestrians.

Winds in the mountain west of Denver could hit 45 mph this afternoon, according to the weather service.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low temperature of about 18 degrees in Denver.

Tomorrow Denver should have mostly sunny skies with a high temperature in the upper 40s.

Snow returns to the Denver forecast Friday night with a 20 percent chance, according to the weather service.

Portions of the Colorado mountains should see snow showers on and off through the weekend, the weather service said.
