Greyhound’s Denver station is undergoing a makeover that should be finished in time for the holidays.
“Customers traveling to visit friends and family will see the fully renovated terminal,” said Dustin Clark, a spokesman for the Dallas- based bus company.
In Denver, Greyhound is redoing food and ticket counters, replacing the floors and ceilings, and painting the facility inside and out. New sign age and plasma TVs for waiting passengers are included in the redo.
“We want to make it convenient and comfortable,” Clark said.
He didn’t have specifics on cost, but renovations in Denver are among the more extensive of the 125 stations being revamped.
Greyhound is spending more than $60 million to refurbish its buses and terminals in a bid to lure back old customers and win new ones.
The company also introduced a “We Are on Our Way” ad campaign last month to win back business after eliminating more than 1,000 unprofitable routes and locations.
The terminal is at 19th and Arapahoe streets, across from a luxury Ritz-Carlton hotel and residences containing some of the city’s most expensive condos.
