FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A judge has sentenced a Larimer County man to 22 years in prison for stabbing and slashing two men in a dispute over loud music.

Kevin David Guidry was sentenced Friday.

Prosecutors say the 46-year-old Guidry attacked the two men, who were his neighbors, with a big kitchen knife.

They say he stabbed and slashed one man, then stabbed the other man twice, breaking the knife off in his chest. The knife blade had to be removed at a hospital.

Both men survived but one suffered complications and has had follow-up surgery.

Guidry’s sentence includes five years of probation after his prison term.
