A 24-year-old man whose body was found lying on a Colorado Springs sidewalk this morning died of multiple gunshot wounds, police say.
Kevin Shields of Colorado Springs was identified as the homicide victim by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office, said Skip Arms, spokesman for the Colorado Springs police department.
Police were notified of the body lying in the 200 block of South 16th Street at 5 a.m. this morning, Arms said.
The department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the man’s death. They would like to know Shields’ activities the past 24 hours, Arms said.
