SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Air Force scored three goals in the first period and held on for a 4-2 win over American International on Saturday.
The Falcons, who defeated AIC on Friday night 6-3, improved to 9-4-1 overall and 7-4-1 in the Atlantic Hockey Association. AIC dropped to 2-8-2 and 2-6-1.
Brent Olson and freshmen Blake Page and Owen Kelly gave the Falcons a 3-0 lead with goals in the first period.
Matt Charbonneau scored the Falcons’ other goal, in the third period.
Air Force returns home to host a two-game series with Canisius on Friday and Saturday at the Cadet Ice Arena.
