Centura Health on Wednesday announced the immediate departure of Gregory H. Burfitt, who had been chief executive and president since 2005.
In a statement, the health-care provider said its board of trustees terminated its contract with Burfitt because of differences in management philosophy.
Arlen Reynolds, chief operating officer for Centura Health, will take on the role of interim president and CEO.
Centura Health includes 12 hospitals, seven senior living residences, medical clinics, Flight for Life Colorado and home-care and hospice services.
