The national committee staging the 2008 Democratic National Convention has hired a “director of greening” — a first for the party. Andrea Robinson, right, a longtime environmental advocate and former actress, will help make the convention environmentally friendly, officials said. Robinson recently managed greening efforts for Al Gore’s “Live Earth” concerts in July. Chuck Plunkett, The Denver Post
