The first floor of Exempla Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge has been evacuated after a fire broke out in the electrical room in the basement, officials say.
The Wheat Ridge Fire Department responded to the fire at about 11:30 a.m. and it was out within minutes, said Lisa Stigall, a spokeswoman for the department.
“It was a relatively small fire,” Stigall said. “It was out pretty quickly.”
She said no one was injured. The first floor was evacuated because of smoke.
