Getting your player ready...

One is the Florida golden boy with the Paul Bunyan image and power to match. One may be the best pro prospect in the college game. One was the darkhorse who came on like a Tiger, and one put up numbers only an accountant could comprehend.

Three quarterbacks and a running back will sit down in New York on Saturday night and wait for the Heisman Trophy announcement. The overwhelming favorite is Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. The likely runner-up is Darren McFadden, the Arkansas tailback. Missouri’s Chase Daniel and Hawaii’s Colt Brennan are the longshots.

A closer look at the top two candidates, both of whom were dual threats:

Tim Tebow, Florida, QB

He passed for 3,132 yards and 29 TDs — and just six interceptions — and ran for another 838 yards (4.3 yards per carry) and 22 TDs.

Darren McFadden, Arkansas, RB

He rushed for 1,725 yards (5.7 per carry) and 15 touchdowns — and passed for another 123 yards and four TDs.
