GM will offer peek at smaller hummer at show
DETROIT — General Motors will display a prototype of a scaled-back Hummer sport utility vehicle at next month’s Detroit auto show as the automaker tries to stem the brand’s declining sales.
The Hummer HX, unveiled to reporters Monday in Warren, Mich., is smaller than the H3, currently the most compact of the line. Sales of the gas guzzler fell 22 percent through November in the U.S. as fuel prices jumped 33 percent.
