The Colorado Wildlife Commission will hear updates from the Colorado Division of Wildlife on draft deer plans beginning at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Denver Renaissance Hotel, 3801 Quebec Ave.

Public testimony and comment will be taken on the Data Analysis Units’ proposals.

Earlier, there will be a workshop between the wildlife commission and the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission to hear updates on recent efforts to implement House Bill 1298 and House Bill 1341, which mandated rules to be adopted to protect wildlife and public health during oil and gas development. The joint meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Renaissance Hotel.

Meeting about moose.

The division of wildlife has scheduled a public meeting Tuesday to discuss releasing moose in the Gunnison-Lake City area to augment existing moose populations.

The meeting will be at the Fred Field Western Heritage Center at the Gunnison County Fairgrounds beginning at 7 p.m.
