The Colorado Christian men’s basketball team improved to 3-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference by beating CSU-Pueblo 88-57 on Thursday night.
Four Cougars scored in double figures, led by the inside-outside senior duo of Brian Stamer and Rory Morgan. Stamer led the Cougars with 22 points, and Morgan made five 3-pointers and also scored 22 points.
Staggs leads CSU-Pueblo
Sarah Staggs scored 19 points to lead the CSU-Pueblo women’s basketball past Colorado Christian 70-58.
The Thunderwolves forced the Cougars into a bad shooting night, especially from the perimeter, where they shot 6-for-23 from 3-point range. Abby Rosenthal was the exception. She led the Cougars with 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting.
Boulder’s Abbott receives cycling scholarship
Boulder’s Mara Abbott has been awarded a collegiate cycling scholarship by USA Cycling. Abbott, a student at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash., is a senior economics major with a 3.7 grade-point average, and is one of the most successful collegiate cyclists in U.S. history.
