FRISCO, Colo.—Authorities in Frisco say a man stopped breathing after he was given a sedative because he was fighting with officers who were arresting him. Police say he’s hospitalized in critical condition.
His name hasn’t been released. Police say he is 39 years old and from Kansas.
Police say he fought with officers and tried to grab one of their guns on Wednesday when they were investigating reports of a man exposing himself and acting erratically at a hotel.
Police say paramedics decided to administer the sedative.
Police say that as paramedics and officers put the man on a gurney, they noticed he wasn’t breathing. They administered CPR as he was taken to a hospital.
He’s now at St. Anthony’s Central in Denver.
