General manager Dan O’Dowd confirmed Thursday night that the Rockies still have interest in signing free-agent reliever Luis Vizcaino, but he denied a report that the Rockies were on the verge of signing the right-hander.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Thursday that the Pirates had lost out to the Rockies in bidding for the former Yankee.

The Rockies announced Thursday that they had officially signed reserve outfielder Cory Sullivan to a one-year contract. Sullivan will make $1 million. In addition, Colorado signed right-handed pitcher Darren Clarke and outfielder Sean Barker to minor league contracts.
