Boulder County firefighters discovered the body of a man inside a semi-trailer that caught fire late Thursday night, officials say.
The man, whose identity has not been released, may have been a homeless squatter living inside the trailer, which was parked in a storage area beside other trailers, said Phil West, detective commander for the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
“We have tentative identification,” West said.
A pedestrian walking a dog near the trailer at 4699 N. Broadway at 11:15 p.m. called 911, he said. The fire caused significant damage.
Authorities are investigating whether a space heater inside the trailer ignited the blaze, West said. There is no indication of foul play, he said.
