An RTD light-rail train and a Subaru automobile collided around 5:30 tonight — at the height of a snowy, slippery rush-hour commute.
The accident occurred at West Colfax Avenue and Kalamath Street, causing police to close northbound Speer Boulevard and westbound Colfax to all traffic.
The driver of the Subaru was treated at the scene and released. No one else was reported to be injured.
The cause of the accident has not been determined.
Heavy traffic was clogged badly until the crash scene was cleaned up about 30 minutes later.
