Weather this week in Denver looks to be mild, with mostly sunny to partly sunny skies and high temperatures in the mid- to upper-40s.

Low overnight temperatures in Denver this week will be in the lower 20s, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds could be gusty today in the foothills, up to 40 mph, and winds of up to 50 mph along the Continental Divide could cause some visibility problems for travelers over mountain passes with blowing snow.

On Thursday night a weather front will bring cloudy skies to Denver and there is a slight chance of snow on Friday and Saturday in Denver, the weather service reports.

But by Sunday, Denver area weather should be back to mostly sunny skies. Weekend high temperatures in and around Denver should be in the upper 30s.

In the mountains, snow is likely in some areas Tuesday night and on Wednesday, according to the weather service, and it could bring an additional 4 inches of new powder to parts of the high country.
