Brandon Marshall isn’t going to Hawaii in February. Unless, of course, he pays for his own ticket and hotel room.

Marshall had held out hope of making the AFC Pro Bowl team, but, like a lot of other things this season, it didn’t happen. He did, however, land on an interesting list on .

The website ran down the short list of rising stars in the NFL and, lo and behold, Marshall was on the top. Hey, stuff happens when you turn into a monster player in your sophomore season.

Yes, he has shown several signs of immaturity off the field, but I wouldn’t worry about Marshall. He knows what’s at stake. He knows he can be a franchise player and earn a commensurate paycheck for years to come.

In fact, 86 catches later, the time has come to ask the question: Since he and Jay Cutler are only in their second seasons, will Marshall eventually own every receiving record in the Broncos’ book?
