Denver power forward Kenyon Martin is doubtful for Sunday’s game at Sacramento with right hamstring strain, suffered in Thursday’s game against Houston.
Martin did not play on Friday at Portland. Neither did center Marcus Camby, who is questionable for the Kings game (mid-back contusion). With posts Nene (thumb) and Steven Hunter (knee) still out, the Nuggets started Jelani McCoy on Friday – they had waived him on Wednesday and resigned him prior to the game at Portland. He scored two points with four rebounds in 18 minutes in the Nuggets’ 99-96 loss.
Camby is second in the NBA with 14.3 rebounds per game, a career-high. And Martin has played well since recovering from knee surgery, averaging 10.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in 25.9 minutes this season.
