Denver police have arrested one suspect in the armed robbery of a Taco Bell, but a second man escaped.

The two masked men fled the restaurant at 1385 Santa Fe Drive after flashing pistols and demanding money at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, said Denver police spokesman John White.

One was apprehended, but a search failed to find the second robber.

“After a continued search of the area, officers did recover two handguns that we believe were used in the robbery, in addition to an undisclosed amount of money taken in the robbery,” White said.

Police also impounded a vehicle that may have been used in the robbery.
