Giuliani says he’s cancer free
NEW YORK, New York -Rudy Giuliani read a Christmas story Monday to youngsters in Harlem, assuring them that Santa Claus is alive and well. That goes for the candidate too.
“I’m perfectly healthy. I don’t have cancer,” Giuliani told reporters after his annual reading of “A Visit From St. Nicholas” at New York City’s Hale House, a residence for needy children.
Giuliani, who had prostate cancer seven years ago, was hospitalized last week in St. Louis after suffering what he described as a headache so severe his plane turned back.
The former New York mayor canceled some events but was back campaigning in New Hampshire over the weekend, where he told reporters he was given a clean bill of health.
In response to renewed questions Monday, Giuliani said his PSA level was measured just three weeks ago and was “zero or negligible.” High PSA levels can mean cancer. He said his doctor would issue a full report soon.
Huckabee daughter stays
DES MOINES, Iowa -It was Christmas Eve and her family was all together back in Arkansas. Except for her. But Sarah Huckabee wouldn’t leave Iowa.
Huckabee, daughter of the Republican presidential candidate and Iowa front-runner Mike Huckabee, decided along with the small staff of four that runs the Huckabee campaign office here to remain through the holiday.
“If one of us is going to stay, all of us are going stay,” she said, near a banner that read “Merry Christmas and a Huckabee New Year.”
