Traffic was backed up for miles on westbound Interstate 70 for more than three hours last night after a SUV and a Greyhound bus collided near the Genesee exit.

Four people were transported to the hospital, according to the Colorado State Patrol. Three were from the SUV and one was from the bus, which was carrying 64 passengers, said Master Trooper Ron Watkins. None of the injuries were life-threatening, he said.

Highway officials were routing cars on U.S. Highway 40, but it was “down to a snails crawl,” Watkins said.
