Getting your player ready...
Jose Canseco is ready to upstage the Mitchell report.
He will name more players who used performance-enhancing drugs that weren’t in the Mitchell report, according to published reports Sunday.
The new book is a sequel to his 2005 steroid memoir “Juiced,” with the working title “Vindicated,” and will arrive in bookstores on baseball’s opening day in 2008, Canseco’s lawyer Robert Saunooke told the New York Post and the N.Y. Daily News.
The book will be co-written by former Sports Illustrated reporter Don Yaeger.
Canseco was one of the first ballplayers to admit using steroids in “Juiced.” He named players who allegedly used, including former Oakland A’s teammate Mark McGwire.
McGwire has denied using steroids.
