Police are seeking a man who shot a security guard in the leg at a Lakewood nightclub early today.
The guard was shot shortly after 2 a.m. after he and others employed by the Fantasy Club at 6th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard tried to control a disturbance in the parking lot, said Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis.
“There was a car full of males. One of the occupants fired some shots from inside the car, and it hit the guard in the leg,” Davis said.
The guard, a 21-year-old Lakewood man, was taken to St. Anthony Central Hospital. Police have not identified him.
The men were in a late-model yellow car that was either a Ford Mustang or a Dodge Charger, Davis said. The car had tinted windows and a black racing stripe, he said.
