University of Denver sophomore forward Tyler Ruegsegger scored a goal for the United States to help the U.S. advance to the semifinals of the world junior hockey championship with a 5-3 victory over Finland.

Rocky Mountain Rage head coach Tracy Egeland rewarded his assistant captain Tyler Butler with a spot on the Central Hockey League Northern Conference all-star team.
Egeland, who will coach the North team Jan. 16 at the Broomfield Event Center, selected Butler as one of his 12 reserves.
