DENVER—A hearing is set this month on motions seeking to consolidate nearly a dozen lawsuits filed against one of the nation’s largest organic milk producers.
The lawsuit accuses Aurora Organic Dairy of labeling milk as organic without meeting federal organic standards. The Boulder-based dairy denies the allegations.
A court status report filed Wednesday says two motions are pending before the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. They seek to consolidate the lawsuits in one court in either Colorado or Missouri.
The panel will hear arguments about the motions January 30th in Phoenix.
A federal judge in Denver has delayed a deadline for Aurora Organic to respond to the allegations until the jurisdiction is resolved.
