Two Denver firefighters who were shocked by an electrical current while fighting a fire Tuesday night have returned to duty.
The firefighters, who were only slightly injured in the incident, were treated and evaluated more as a precautionary measure, said Lt. Phil Champagne, a Denver Fire Department spokesman.
The fire at the home in the 200 block of Newton Street broke out at about 7 p.m., Champagne said.
One firefighter also suffered muscle strains after slipping on ice while fighting the fire.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, Champagne said.
