The historic Manor House in Jefferson County is in foreclosure, according to the Jefferson County Public Trustee office.
Owner T&T LLC still owes $1.2 million of the original $1.8 million loan. An election and demand notice, the first step in the foreclosure process, was filed Dec. 31.
Michael Shinn, the founder of the now-defunct National Home Buyers Assistance Corp., is the executive director of T&T but not an owner. The company is controlled by his children. The Shinns paid $2.4 million for the Manor House in March 2006. They spent about $600,000 renovating it, but financial troubles cut their plans short.
